My rm picks a dif way round dc each time so it seems. The express lanes on the beltway are good going over bridge. The ez pass lanes on way to dc and on western side are not i think.

Express ezpass near 695 n of baltimore are good too

I'm pretty sure the VA express lanes between Springfield and Dulles Toll Road are non truck lanes I'm pretty sure. I think I saw a guy getting written up just this week.

So, my name came up for the Hunger Games: I'm going to Brooklyn. But this time I thought about maybe taking 440 out of Jersey and skipping the Goethals. Anyone know if I can? It's not highlighted as a STAA in the mapbook but that doesn't always mean it can't be taken.

Yes you can. It turns into the Staten Island Expressway as soon as you cross over from Jersey.

Those are, but the ones crossing the WW are okay for trucks.

The Outerbridge isn't really any better than the Goethals bridge though. It has the same narrow lanes.

Yeah. But all that merging crap through the tollbox to get onto the bridge is the heartburn I'd like to avoid. Now hopefully I'll get there early enough that the bullpen might have a spot.

Speaking of getting a parking spot, if someone had told me that a 75 space Flying J would be full at 8am on a Sunday I wouldn't have believed them.

Not only are all the regular spots full, all the reserved spots are full and there are trucks parked everywhere. Even the car parking area has bobtails double parked.

Add in all the beggars and bums roaming the place and the J in SLC is now in my top 3 worst truck stops.

The new goethals span is open and has actual full size lanes and even shoulders. Right now 2 each direction but sounds like 3 or 4 is the ultimate plan once 2nd span is done.

Same with bridge at 278 and 495.

Shocking to say but they are generally well done and traffic is flowing better at both now.

I'd agree were it not for the sewer dwellers crossing it with me. I take it from the lack of security guards and padlocks everywhere that I'm going to have a wait before anyone arrives to open the bullpen?
