Record breaking load for me. 18hrs to pickup and 4hrs to drop off. That $360 in detention heading my way will make up for it though.
I may have the record in driver managers too. 6 in 18mths. I think I'm running too hard and wearing them out.

It was supposed to be a 10am preloaded hook, but when I got there I was told paperwork wasn't ready. Didn't get the call until nearly 4am the next morning. It was that container place in Chesapeake. Don't know what went wrong. I've been there a few times and its always been smooth sailing in and out within minutes. There was another driver there who had also been waiting since the day before. I don't know what time he got out of there.

Home. Was given a Hill load that delivers a week from Monday 45 miles from the house. I’ll just enjoy this time off. I’ll be leaving next Monday and stay out until Christmas. Need to get this timing down for our vacation in February. Such a life.....lol

Anyone know why a hosebox and meat wagon showed up at the yard yesterday around 1100?

Someone must have been ill or injured. Many Firefighters are also paramedics so if the fire truck was closer it would have been dispatched, but it obviously can't transport patients so an ambulance would also be dispatched.
When I was an EMT it was a common occurrence to have an ambulance, engine company AND police show up at calls even if it was for something simple like a headache. Why all 3 for what could barely be considered an emergency?. Money. Increased service calls in a given year means more funding for the next year's budget.Barn Door Bill Thanks this. -
Pretty much it. We run a system where the engine is always ALS. If the ambulance is only BLS, any call type that would require ALS would also get an engine.
Also the system works with 20 Engines and 15 Ambulances, could have engine responding for closest.
