Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

Anyone at the Richmond yard?. Are the lights on?, any chains on the doors?. Been trying to call the main number for the past 20 minutes and keep getting error messages and busy signals.

 

I had that happen once. It was a problem with the phone system. Eventually resolved itself.

 

Still down, wouldn't be that much of an issue if QC communication was effective.

 

There is no power at all. Issue down the road somewhere.

 

RC is faster than i am today!


Well tge last 2 weeks have certainly not been routine for us. Last monday sent to tacoma washington area. Lost a few hours in montana waiting on chain law. Lost a day in washington waiting on chain law. Delivered friday. Picked up brokered load coming back to maryland. This was good since we needed a new windshield and we could be back long before it was fixed out west.

Night dispatch called wanting us to "recover" a reefer in North Dakota. Ended up swapping at a repair place in Fargo and rolling out about 5 hours later once repair was done. Super shocked the picky grocery chain that isnt walmart accepted everything. Had nightmares from charlbs ordeal.

Got back to yard, wrote truck up. DM was well aware and had emailed pix to shop. Call 1st thing in the am after dropping to make sure they saw, and get a eta. Told be done by end of day. Called next morning and they said what write up. So 2nd day at home unplanned.

Come in this morning, and yet again, a illegal load from same place as a few weeks ago. Just got reworked at yard and now off to miami fl for the am.

Mama said thered be weeks like this....

 

Worries you why? If he’s young and inexperienced, you can train him the way you want him to be.

 

Been awhile since I’ve been on here. Abilene is an ok company. Just need more money. End of this month will be getting my own truck, brand new 780 and heading to land star. Wish everyone the best with Abilene.
