If you're dropping a loaded trailer and hooking an empty, you can do that 24/7, assuming you can find a security guard at that hour, which is not a foregone conclusion. There's a mailbox by the S&R door for the BOL.

If you're dropping an empty and hooking a loaded trailer, I dunno if you can do that 24/7, because you gotta sign a phone book's worth of paperwork. They may leave it in the mailbox, they may not.

I don't think anyone really held anyone up at all. We all did a terrific job dealing with that. It was just nuts all the way around! I had to laugh at the guy when he came up to tell me to slide mine. He jumped up on the side and said, "Hey, man. Oh, oops, I mean ma'am,...". And I don't think I saw them "assist" anyone in backing out, even though I had it. But, it's cool.

They tried to send me to Knoxville to pick up and deliver this morning in New Albany MS. Which is in the opposite direction of home. Then they wanted me to bring it back too Cookeville to another guy who delivered where we did. Then they were going to have me wait on a guy coming from Moscow and swap again with him-at like 10 am-which would put me getting home really late-as always. Put my foot down and said if you thought I could pick it up and deliver it on time, he can come get it. Once they saw it my way, they guy came to get the load and I'm DH to Wytheville to grab something (probably Gatorade) back to Richmond.

I don't know if anybody else has had it happen, but it seems Abilene is trying to take advantage of this new pc rule.

The "Personal convenience rule" I'm in home time until tomorrow; but I hope it doesn't turn into that. I do have a question about this new rule and hope to ask Abilene safety next time I'm at the Richmond yard.
Question... If a driver where to get into an accident while using this new rule; is the driver covered by the company insurance or is the driver responsible for anything that may happened? I'm looking for some clarification and clear interpretation on this from safety..( Don't like to assume ).
