My day here today was...dealing with a broker with an attitude,a load canceled, and a 5hrs ride from colton to industry CA ,and back(around 80mls)but i like to post the less fortunate things here, since its more entertaining.

That's California for you. Don't miss that state one bit.

Speaking of rants... took a load from Cal Cart in Port Wentworth, GA... other than the trailer number, nothing was right on this load. And at this point I’m not really sure of the trailer number being correct either... LOL :)

First sent to Target at 211 instead of Cal Cart at 101... not a big deal, just turn around and zip around the corner.

Then they (broker?) gave me the wrong pickup number... ok, a simple call to Don on Christmas morning and I’m rolling...

Took a 34 in SC but was told this load had to be here by midnight last night... ok, I can roll a day sooner than I had hoped. I did appreciate a quick 34 with family over Christmas.

Got here at 9pm only to find out that they (broker?) gave me a “T” number that was already used on 12/20... again, just a phone call... except after waiting 2.5 hours dispatch tells me no one has called them back.

Oh and Target doesn’t like it when you attempt to take your 10 while waiting for a new “T” number... lol

Now that my 10 is over, I’ll be calling in to see if the day shift has any better luck with getting a return call from the Broker.

But when I get out from under this load, I have a nice run to Texas ahead of me, so that will be real nice... assuming I get a “T” soon... LOL

    STAY SAFE!!!

Yeah, that issue has been happening a lot at the W. Jefferson. Buddy of mine was given 3 different numbers before the guy at the gate finally just said screw it. I’ll figure it out later.

Those Target loads are all through Swift. That should tell you something.

We’ve been dropping and hooking there since 2014. Real easy peasy. Except when @MidWest_MacDaddy gets involved, then it’s a comedic side show.

Always seemed to have some sort of hiccup when I tried to d/h at the Target in Indy when I worked at Knight.
