Hey @JohnBoy, Reno to 'Bernadino, good on bridge law. You reckon I might get hassled at the scales in my way over 380 extra on my steers?

Your good. You have no permanent scales going to San Bernardino. The only thing you need to worry about is the pull off area just south of Bishop. And that’s only an area they do inspections. FYI, based on tire size, you can go up to 20K on your steer. The 6 years I’ve been here, I’m always 12,200 to 12,400.

I appreciate the feedback. I'm usually over by two or three hundred on my steers but this is Cali we're talking about and on my particular tractor it is an insane hassle trying to get my fifth wheel slid. I was at 13000 on the steers when I first loaded and it took nearly two hours to get it slid three holes to put it at the 12380 on the ticket. Did not want to have to do that again if it wasn't absolutely neccessary.

I don’t know if anyone has read and seen the video about “Samsara Distracted Driving Detection Camera”. This new camera or technology called “The CM22 Unit”, focused on safety, is capable of using image or face recognition and is capable of sending a message to your DM if you’re driving distracted or falling asleep. In the video it shows the driver being contacted by his DM via cell phone, but in the newspaper it says that your DM will have not only the capacity to see you but also speak to you via the camera inside your truck!
Sometimes I wonder if the people who create all this new technology, to observe the driver, will at some point develop a camera system that please excuse my language…”If I FART going down the road, the camera will activate and send a message to my DM that I have committed a hazarded violation”. I'm a big believer in safety but please why can't they invent something to turn a camera on and give someone in the office a violation for just keeping there seat warm! For a change!

I could care less about these cameras. If they have been watching me, then they’re getting quite the show. I’m surprised I haven’t got a phone call questioning the size of my junk, or to ask me if I always sleep in the nude, which I do. These cameras are their’s, the inside of this truck is my home away from home, I don’t have the time nor the energy to cover the camera when I’m stopped, so they can get a good look of me in my natural habitat.

Ok... so I ran this load today in the hopes that they will take it sooner than the 6am appointment... ya, wasn’t happening ... not a big deal as I hit 69 of my 70 tonight... and have no hours falling off until midnight tomorrow night... so I’ll be hanging around at this little truck stop for a day just waiting for hours to fall off so I can grab a load and head to Florida for Home Time.

Anyway, so i was 9 hours and 10 minutes early, which means, after taking my 10, I will be 50 minutes late for my 6am LUL ... but they will take me up to an hour late without rescheduling... LOL

SO, I have a ten minute window to legally leave this Truck Stop and bump their dock in the morning... LOL

On a completely different topic, if anyone is interested in knowing if one can drive 2 miles without tripping the “Driving” mode... I might know the answer... LOL
