Looks like it might be moving day again. New truck won't start. Cranks but won't turn over. I discovered this this morning at 4:45am as I was preparing to head out early and beat DC traffic. Bunk heater still not working even after the assist from silverdriver. Couldn't idle the truck last night because it was 43F when I went to bed. Was 33F this morning at 4:45am and the bunk heater was blowing cold air.

Put in a shop ticket, told HQ that I would not be making my scheduled delivery appointment on time, and went to take a shower. And now they're talking about putting me into another truck. Didn't realize it was going to take that long to replace some batteries and fix a bunk heater, but here we are.

 

Now in one of the brand new 2019 KWs. Will be my first experience with the Brake Nanny(tm). I'm planning on being mildly annoyed about it. Otherwise, though, I'm pretty excited. Only 461 miles on this bucket. If the heater works, I'll be in high cotton.

So how does the Monthly Bonus get paid? Is it just added to the first payroll after the end of the month?

 

Bingo! Sometimes it comes thru as a separate deposit, other times just added to that check. Let me clarify one thing, it’s paid on the first pay check of the following month.

One other thing, don’t do like a few drivers I had under my tutelage and quit 3 days before the year end bonus pays. It was specifically written you must be employed on 11/30 in order to get it, they quit 2-4 weeks before and got squat. So of course it’s the companies fault.

 

Ya, my ex wife used to work for a company that paid quarterly and annual bonuses, but paid them so late that if one were to quit, they almost always forfeited their last bonus as they had to be employed at the time on payment not the date earned... lol

I last a trip to Disney like that too... LOL
