Merit medical. You’ve been there before?

Negative. HQ doesn't send me out to these parts very often. Probably been two years since the last time I was sent to Utah.

Got to West Memphis terminal last night. I have to say this road reconstruction at both exits main road is just ridiculous! How long has it been 2 months and there still haven't finished the very first side they started! It's now a single tight road on both directions.

Your GPS will get you there. It’s a big complex that looks like a college campus. Truck entrance is off the side street right before the sign that says no trucks past the entrance. Turn in to the guard shack. All they do is take your name and are very pleasant. When you clear the guard house, follow the wall on your left to the rear of the building. The bills will say dock 31 & 32. It’s in the very back behind the docks you will see on the front side. It’s a funky turn around. You’ll have to back up the hill and follow the building around while backing. The 2 docks are in the back. Back in to the dock closest to the wall. No need to check in, if it’s empty take it. You’ll be empty in a half hour or less. When you leave, just slow down and the guard will just wave you through. I’ve delivered there about 15 times. They’ve even waited until 6pm for me when I got shut down in Wyoming.

Is that the only drop you have?

Yup. Delivers on Tuesday. Anytime before 6pm. Shouldn't be getting there that late, though. Especially since that's 8pm my time.

Only thing I'm mildly concerned about: The load assignment says it delivers Tuesday, but the bill says it delivers Friday.

Other than that, I have no worries.

Yeah it's a real mess down there. I like how they're working on both exits of both freeways all at once. I had to make a left turn onto MLK from the side road down by the mexican restaurant, and that was a real pain. The kind of left turn where the cars on the cross road have to all back up so I don't flatten the front of the first dude in line.

Be glad when they get it back to some semblance of normality.

Pre-trip this trailer and the plate is missing... how does that happen? Ppl stealing tags off other company’s trailers?

I got pulled over for that in Ohio. Wonder if it's the same trailer. I called and left voicemail with AKJ himself about it.

People steal them, the bolts rust, the holder rusts. Who knows. Safety will tell you as long as you have the current registration you’re legal. I’ve pulled a few of them. Called safety each time. Same answer every time. Sometimes the trailer shop will have the tags because they are aware of the situation. I imagine it’s hard to get a trailer back to the yard to put the plates in it. Especially if a driver doesn’t let the trailer shop know when it rolls in that the tag is missing.

The list of missing plates is about 10 - 15 trailers long last I heard. Bill told me at one time it was around 30 - 40. Guess that’s not too bad considering all the trailers we have.
What did the OH police tell you when they pulled you? And just where in the fmcsa rules is there clarification on the subject, cause I can’t find it. Then again, they word everything so screwed up that it’s a wonder anyone can muddle through most of it.
