Family is ok and up to now haven't heard of anyone died. The thing about this is that it happened in the middle of the night! No warning whatsoever.

Just had lunch here... if you find yourself near Iowa, Louisiana and want a good lunch, this be it... right next to a Pilot and across the street from a Loves... so lots of parking options.

It’s like a Cajun Butcher, that serves Lunch... lol

 

Ya, when we first moved to South Florida, I was having a conversation with a local... he said they would never live in the Midwest (my home region) due to tornadoes... I responded with “WHAT??? You have freaking Hurricanes here!!!”... his response ... same as JBs... lol

And now having gone through a few hurricanes in South Florida... ya, I agree!!! Those darn twisters often pop up out of nowhere!!!

But I have several very fond childhood memories of the whole neighborhood coming to “hang out” in our poured concrete basement under our Brick House... lol

Brokered load of hardwood flooring from Industry Cal to Austell Ga. Be happy to get out of Cal finally today, lol! 55 mph and LA area traffic drive me nuts....

Half chicken with Green Beans and Dirty Rice... but then I tried Boudin for the first time... and bought some Tasso for the road.

Boudin is a Meat n Rice ball that is then deep fried while Tasso is like a thicker softer jerky.

I bought some link Boudin for the truck... it’s in my freezer now but will cook up nicely in my Instant Pot in the near future.
