On a positive note- today is my Friday, and when I come back to work, I will officially be a grandma!

    Question...
I haven't been to the West Memphis terminal in a while but I know that the construction there has changed things around on how you get into the terminal.
I'm coming from the West side on I-40 how do I get into the terminal?

Take 55 south. Get off the exit by the truck stops. Turn left. They opened that up the last week.

    Silverdriver Thanks this.

Well, it took me three years, but today I reached a trucking milestone.

Today, for the first time ever, I had to do the Crank of Shame.

Had to drop an empty at Hill-Phoenix. Backed into the slot nice and easy.

Then my phone rang. And that required a conversation.

And then I hung up and it rang again, which required another conversation.

And then I had to do some other stuff.

And then my brain said "Okay, let's drop this trailer" while completely skipping over the bits where I still needed to lower the landing gear and unhook the gladhands.

One of our fellow Abileenies was there to witness the whole thing. I'm sure he's back at the yard telling tales already.

No harm done to truck or trailer, near as I can tell. My arms might not make it, though.

    Super glad it wasn't loaded.

Happens to the best of 'em. Almost as bad as forgetting to crank them up, and wondering what the noise is going down the road.....

For me I call that just being human. We all forget stuff.
I remember about two months ago that I was in Oregon and my load assignment change to go pickup in California. I cross the border got into the scales and forgot to move the trailer tandems; l was off by two holes and it cost me $200 dollars! I told my wife I hated forgetting about things like that.
