My 19xxx does something similar now and then... when shutting down at night, the only way to get the lights off is to shut off the engine and restarting. No rhyme or reason to it.

On the bit of good news scene...

-Over half the States will begin opening up a bit more and more before May 4th.

-A new drug shows promise in treating covid19 patients and has been streamlined through the FDA.

Lol. My issue with this is not the “lack of work” it’s the thought of not getting hometime. Right now I’m off for 7 days, more if I want it. The Publix deal says no for hometime, being 3 hours from the house and not able to go home is not worth it to me. Hometime is far more important then money.

Ya, I missed the no home time detail until a few weeks in... but by then we were only a week from the end of the contract and I was hoping to make up for a few lost days in January and February... but then the four week commitment became six weeks... just a bit too long to be in solitary confinement in the Truck for my tastes. Especially with everything closed up and nothing to do to get out of the truck. Maybe a few things will be opened up if the contract comes around a second time.

On my 579 you can go through the settings and turn that automatic headlight tied to the wiper crap off. I did.

Now that my DRLs burnt out they’re staying out. It’s ridiculous how long they don’t last.

My fellow Abilene drivers, can anyone tell me how freight is moving. I need to see if I want to come out Wednesday as scheduled, or take a few more days off.

I heard Cargo Transporters laid off 100 drivers last week and are closing down one of their terminals that will affect another 50 drivers. I’ve also been reading where other companies have slowed considerably with freight.

I need to make my decision by Tuesday. I have some projects around the house that needs addressing and don’t want to start them if I need to leave and do my part in saving the people of the country from starving and not being able to wipe themselves.

    rachi Thanks this.

What I have experienced within the past few weeks is that getting loads out of our terminals is still pretty solid, but getting backhauls seems to have become a little trickier.
