Spent 6 hours at MGA in Hesperia today getting loaded. Spent 3 hrs this morning getting an Mt from XPO. Got up at 6am to search for an MT on the Colton yard, finally on the road at 4pm.

By the time it’s all said and done, I’m going to have a brand new Mack. There’s been so much replaced on old Oscar that it isn’t funny. Now the 5th wheel has decided it wants to be new as well. Seems like every time I come back to work, something breaks on the truck. A sign, maybe? Hmmmmm.....

I’d say the only “sign” is that it’s a mack. They’re not what they used to be, the company I drive for is all mack, I’m in a 2020 anthem, other than looking good, it’s plagued with the same gremlins as most of my other models.

My loaner truck is an 18 Volvo. Ugh! The incessant beeping of the bendix system while parked beside something (another truck, a friggin’ pole!) is soooooo annoying. Other than that, I can say I have missed being in a Volvo. Shhhhhh.......don’t tell Oscar (my Mack, & yes, named for Oscar the Grouch on Sesame Street). I don’t want him to get jealous.

Sooooo.......new 5th wheel plate installed. It is a Joust. Not one I’m used to and cannot for the life of me get it to unlock. No 5th wheel puller either. Have not ever needed one. I know there’s a trick to these, but have no clue. Before, I had just a skinny one. This one is thick. Help me out here, y’all.

You might have to lift the handle then pull it.
