I'm sitting at the J in Warrenton Mo. Got here with 2 minutes left on my 70. I now will be running on my recap until I get home next weekend. I pick up strong hours here on out. I did have some what of an issue the last few days. I had enough hours to get the load to richmond, but not until Sunday. I wanted to get this load on this pay period that ends at midnight tomorrow night, but would have been short by 4 hours getting there. I called Tim this morning to discuss this and he said not a problem, drop it and end the trip at the Wytheville yard when you get there tomorrow. Again, this is just another reason why I enjoy working here. I'll be in Wytheville about 6pm with only about an hour left on my clock. I was told to call Wytheville dispatch in the morning to give them my ETA so I can get a load out on Sunday. That's all for now, 4am will be here shortly.

Welcome to the family! In my opinion, you'll never find a better class of drivers to work with.

I will be in the yard tomorrow afternoon, you should still be in orientation. Have Don Tucker or Sally point you towards me and I'll introduce myself. Nothing to be nervous about. Just get your fill of information overload and ask questions here if you need some clarification on anything. I'll give you my phone number tomorrow when I see you.

I did a lot of research after starting at Trans Am after many years away from driving
I was between homes and was willing to move anywhere the good job opportunity presented itself
so when Transam sent me to Norfolk with a load with too much time on it
I saw this as a sign to stop at Abilene on the way by
Don and Sally were very nice and I could see how everything I read and saw on here was just what I was looking for
A week later Don called and said they couldn't hire me but that in no way diminishes the quality I believe Abilene to be
I have not met an unhappy Abilener yet
The company I am with now let me pick the color of my new truck I get in Dec
    I picked Abilene green :biggrin_25522:

Pete, here I thought it was because of my charming New York attitude.
