Careful what you wish for. Kevin in Wytheville used to always try to sell me on "trading up" from my 17xx KW to one of the new Volvos. Last time he did I responded he could have it back when it blew up underneath me. No joke, less than a week later I got nailed, while parked, by a runaway truck in the Petro Knoxville parking lot.

I'm not sayin' he hired a guy, but...

Finished up the week strong 3800 miles, needed it,with everything that's been going on lately.

Headed for Southerland for a drop.

I Have the worst luck,4000 miles on the truck, and a rock flew up,and cracked the windshield yesterday.

Nah, poop happens. Wanna talk about windshields and luck? My last Volvo, had the windshield replaced at 7500 miles, leave the yard, sitting at the red light on Willis Rd, a UPS package truck goes by the Waffle House and kicks up a huge rock and blasts the brand new windshield that has 3/4 of a mile on it. I called Joe at the shop while sitting at the red light and told him what happened, he told me to turn around and he would hold the windshield company at the yard, 1.5 hours later I hand my second new windshield in the truck on the same day.

Back in the truck after a weekend off. I have participated in what passes for democracy around these parts. Plan on staying out until after Christmas, and told 'em not to be shy about giving me long miles.

And what do I get for my first trip back? Miami.

Be careful what you wish for.

Getting ready to head out from the house. Nice week off. I’ll be up in Richmond tomorrow evening. My truck is due for its first servicing. I’m scheduled for the shop first thing Friday morning. Here’s an example of what we get when we call in for a service. At first it looked like a confirmation email from a hotel via TripAdvisor.

    ShopAdvisor ... lol

I’m glad to see they are trying something new.
Hopefully it works to the advantage of all.

I notice we have the new "IRON" service offering at the main Richmond yard now. Sign wasn't there when I left for hometime last Thursday, but it was there yesterday when I got back.

Does that mean you can drop your ironing, and it will be taken care of?
