Decided to wait til this morning to bounce home and doggonit a truck apparently rolled over after the TA on 77 north and a fatality too….heavy fog this morning and ppl driving slow, gotta pay attention and not fly and speed….right when I was about to take off. Figured Id wait for daylight and rain to stop since Im bobtailing 193 miles….guess Ill go up to 460 to 77 the long way to get home.

Load assignment to pick up a pre-loaded reefer down in Charleston and haul it to Bedford, PA. It's not due until 6:00pm Friday, so plenty of time to get it there. Ordinarily I'd just wait until tomorrow to grab it, but I can't rule out the possibility that they'll be closed on Thanksgiving. So I'm gonna schlep down there tonight as soon as my 10 is up, and then take it as far as Florence. Then haul it the rest of the way tomorrow.

    jarhead0311 and JohnBoy Thank this.

Thank you to all my brethren out trucking this Thanksgiving. After all these years, I’ve come to believe there isn’t a load of hearts or lungs for transplant, or a load of toothpicks worth me missing a major holiday with my family. Granted, that’s my take, others might think otherwise.
