Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

Came out the house with a pu of solar panels going to Columbus,Ms,took all day at the receiving end.Next trip deadhead up to Tn,with a delivery in Columbus Friday morning.

 

Did they ever close the restaurant there? Been there many times in the past.

 

Delivered the starbucks load off the wm yard in Lebanon, Tn tuesday morning then sent to Humboldt, Tn to load that load of chocolate dipping sauce that goes to Columbus, OH. Delivered that yesterday and got BH to Knoxville and Nashville. Knoxville short handed today so no early unload and unload in the morning. Still haven’t gotten my longevity one cent raise since October and still not getting paid layover/detention I put in for. I swear terminal manager in wm is trying to save money by not paying drivers, I could be wrong and paranoid but never had a problem til he came over from knight.

 

Yeah, that restaurant closed back in 2016.

 

Trust me..i worked for knight yrs ago and they’re cheap pieces of garbage…not to mention they like to steal payroll money..have been doing that for many years..i know first hand because they did it to me and i got fed up with it and left in the middle of the night for good

 

Gotta rescue a boar’s head to atlanta tonight. Apparently a problem driver and was told this might be his last load here at Abilene. Hopefully can get a few hrs sleep before rolling out of here.

 

Speaking of problem drivers, the basement is locked. If you need to talk to safety or the nurse (or anybody else down there), they want you to go to the front desk and tell the receptionist.

Apparently one of our drivers got violent down there a couple weeks ago. So they're all pretty paranoid about it now.

 

Cream of the crop these days, eh?

 

Talked to a driver yesterday that's been driving for 3 months,making the same amount as me,after almost 8 years go figure.

 

Got that Columbus run for the morning,hoping I can get out the mountains by the time this storm hits Saturday.
