Have not had an occasion to stop by the truck stops on the south side of Indy in quite a while, so this might be old news. But the sketchy PFJ across the street from the sketchy Indian restaurant and the super sketchy Motel 6 has closed. Still a lot of trucks over there in the parking lot, though.
Makes me think of our old buddy @Redtwin . Hope he's doing well.

I'm doing well mostly because I have never been back to that truck stop in Indy.
How are things with you and everyone else at team green?. I still find myself fighting the urge to wave when I see you guys go by.MACK E-6, jarhead0311, Friend and 2 others Thank this. -
Miles have been picking up of late, but I suspect that's due to having less drivers to soak up the available miles, rather than having more miles to go around.MACK E-6, jarhead0311, Lonesome and 2 others Thank this. -
Do you guys still do Hill Phoenix?. That was the source of most of my big mile loads out of Richmond.

Volvo Reno is (as far as I know) the only remaining lane we have to get out west. And you can only get those if you're at the West Memphis terminal at the right time.Lonesome, jarhead0311, Rugerfan and 3 others Thank this. -
Finished a 34 in Wytheville Wed then picked up a drop and hook in Roanoke to Peoria Illinois that unloaded yesterday morning. Reloaded in Chicagoland but on my way there Nick called me asking if Id help him out by detouring to Ikea to drop my empty then go to Home Depot in North Lake to grab a different empty that Home Depot was threatening to have towed. With how bad traffic was I wasted three hours doing that switch before getting to the shipper. Of course the trailer rails were so rusty it wouldn’t slide when I got loaded with the weight pressing down on it so had to find a curb to back against to slide the tandems a bit further forward. I forgot to grab my cans of pb blaster to put in this loaner. My truck still in Richmond waiting on parts. Unneeded 34 this weekend because I can’t drop this on the Memphis yard due to no freight coming out apparently so deliver in Mt. Juliet, Tn Monday at noon. No layover either, not the only driver stuck sitting on a load babysitting DM told me when I asked. At the Loves in Horse Shoe, Ky. for the weekend. Due home Wed. to officially move into my new house and get the security system installed and internet/cable installed along with a bit of furniture. Paying my new neighbors to keep my grass cut while Im gone.

Friend, Rugerfan, ExtremeUnction and 5 others Thank this. -
Was good while it lasted, back at the yard twiddling thumbs.
jarhead0311, Friend, Lonesome and 1 other person Thank this. -
Been a few years since the last time I had to deal with a trailer with a manual tandem release. And then, all of the sudden, I get two in two days.
Knucklehead, Lonesome and FullMetalJacket Thank this.
