Got my first pick up on in Albany Oregon last Thursday afternoon. I had my last pick up in Nampa Idaho Friday morning. I left Albany and drove the 440 miles to Nampa in the snow and ice across Cabbage, Meacham, La Grande and Baker, where I might add, I was just in front of that big pileup at the 312mm with all those big trucks. Was done in Nampa about noon on Friday and headed east. I made it to Montpelier Idaho in the blowing and drifting snow and called it a night. I got up early Saturday morning and headed to Little America where I met my good friend Chris, the rookie, who I worked with at Calex. He was on his way to Yakima and had a little time to visit.

The weather across Wyoming was high and dry, in fact, it was high and dry right to our yard in Wytheville. I got a preplan this morning on my way here. Drop my load, and pick up a loaded trailer sitting on the yard going to Lakeland for Wednesday morning. The last email I got from Tim was to go home after I empty out. I'm coming back out on Monday. I have a new refresher to pick up on the Wednesday after I leave the house. He lives in Jacksonville. I hope he follows in the same path that Kellan did, it makes my job so much easier. Time for bed.

Boo. Your Patriots cheat by calling plays when the other team is still discussing. I can't stand Seattle, but I still would rather them over the Patriots! Lol

The V olvos are nice, but the KW's are nicer. Either way, you are right. Compared to most other carriers, we are spoiled.

I'm home. Got here at 3:30 yesterday afternoon. I made it down to the rest area 8 miles from my drop in Lakeland the night before. I had a 10am delivery, got up at 7, drove to the Loves 3 miles away, fueled and showered then went to my delivery. I got there at 9am, was backed in at 9:15 and pulling out the gate at 10:15 on my way home. I had a little time to kill because my wife was busy with a closing, so I stopped off and got my 2 weeks worth of salt, sand and other assorted winter garbage washed off the truck.

I leave back out on Monday to head back to Richmond and pick up a refresher. In the last week, with the completion of this load, I have 3807 paid miles. I left the house on December 27th and was gone the longest since I've been here at Abilene. Granted it was my doing, but boy am I wore out. Not because of the time or miles, but because of all the weather I was in. Now I can get back on a somewhat normal schedule, 10 days then head back home.

Well usually I don't like to be negative, but cant hold back... I am sitting here at what we call in the trucking industry" the hurry up and wait place" you all know where I am talking about..... in lovely groveport Ohio....enough said... I have a load going to Ocala Florida for 2 am Monday morning and they( BH) is going to make sure I leave. With just enough time to make it.... it went from being ready per Qualcomm at 5 pm to oh um.... 10 pm now to midnight ... now for the 100 dollar question.... " why dispatch a driver on a load if not ready???" The time of the driver could be best utilize hauling another ready load, and managing his or hers hours better..... ok I am done.... but not understanding the logic here..

Dude, your job is to drive the truck, not think for operations.....I'm quite sure they know what they are doing. We as drivers are on a need to know basis, 99% of the time it's a matter of, we don't need to know.....(sarcasim).

Johnboy, not going to bother you on hometime. I will do the best I can at Hunts Point, whatever that means.
