I have found that freight is fine. A lot of drivers take off until Sunday/Monday which leaves a lot of loads to be covered. Or, you can request extra days off. Just be sure you put in for your home time soon, like today.

Hey, how does the bunk heaters work? Not how to turn it on, I have mine on and running.

I don't hear anything running so I assume it's not an APU type setup but I can't imagine running a heater off of batteries for 10+ hours either.

They work fine for 10-12 hours. They do run off batteries. When the volts get too low the system will shut down. I have only had that happen once. I usually wake up before my 10 hour break is up and start the truck. I've had mine in -10 last winter with no issues.

Funny, it's like we all have e.s.p. Just last night my bunk heater keeps cutting off after about 4 hours. It's a battery issue no doubt. The last time I was in the shop and I quote "yeah we need to change that......but it should be ok for now" so I'll definitely get it changed. I'll be at the yard around 5 or so. Hope everyone is doing well.

So I have one hour on my 70 to drive 2.5 hours... So I found a Pilot to stop at... Nope... PARKED BEYOND FULL... Drove to a local Walmart... But it must have been an OLD store and it now has gates on the entrance, so I can't even enter and turn around... Not fond of backing up one long ### narrow road and around a curve too that I took to get there... Could not turn into the hotel parking lot... Tight turn with a HUGE boulder at the corner (thinking they were tired of other truckers doing the same thing I was hoping to do... lol) ... So I backed up to the next parking lot (Cracker Barrel) and attempted a turn around in their dinky ### parking lot... Maneuvered around a few light poles and a Cracker Barrel semi that was parked there (I assume for a delivery) and finally made my way out... No damage other than I probably bent a few of the leaves on the grass patches around the light poles... Whew... Then I find the actual new BIG Walmart... Get parked and then saw the "no truckers welcome" type of sign... LOL ... Ok, I hope I wake up before they get the Tow Truck hooked up completely... LOL ... Either rolling at midnight when I gain 9 more hours or just take my 10 here with two other unwelcome RVs.
