Stage 1 of training is done as a "super solo" where the trainee and trainer split driving in a 14 hour period, usually with the trainee driving the majority of the time, then the trainer finishing out the 14 hour clock. The trainer is "On Duty, Not Driving" when observing the trainee. The areas covered are typically in the southeast and near midwest. The trainer can shift this to more of a team operation as the skills and knowledge of the trainee develop.

Stage two is done as a team operation, trainee driving while the trainer sleeps, and vice versa. Areas covered, Southeast, Midwest, West Coast, Pacific Northwest.

Stage 3 training is done as a team operation, with areas covered to include all of the above, and adding in the Northeast/New York.

It should be noted that an experienced driver may either not need to do a training period, or a "refresher" training, which could concentrate on areas that the new hire could need work with.

Not sure it matters... When driving either one is Driving... But neither goes over the 14 hour total. To be honest, I only paid attention to my clock not his... LOL

Well, I couldn't sleep very well either, but you get used to it... And to be honest, you will have to learn to sleep in a moving truck... If that's a deal breaker, then that's a deal breaker.

Trainees start salaried at $500, $600, & $700 per week depending on which Stage they are in. After that, I started at 36/CPM with a possible penny increase after six months.

And more miles than you can imagine.

I have only gotten one 34 hour break since I started... Not counting home time.

So... How's that working out for you??? LOL

I don't mind answering questions... If I do, maybe they will note on the Application that they were referred by MACDADDY!!! :)

Now, if only the recruiters knew who the heck MacDaddy was... LOL

    Stay Safe,

Leave it to a trainer to provide much better details... LOL ... How's your new trainee doing?

It was awesome to run into you on the yard the other day.

Today I am sitting in a JUNK YARD... Ok... Ok... It's technically a "recycling center" but I bet I don't get outta here with 18 fully inflated tires.

Yep, was good running into you as well. And my trainee is doing marvelously. He is now in Stage 3 of training as of today.

Haha its not working out for me at all....submitted an application, called and emailed multiple times, no answer.
It's ok though. I know they are busy and I'm patient! :)
