As hard as MD is on trucks, probably not!!!!!! LOL I was told they're for teams and none of the new Volvos would be for solos, but, hey, I'm just a peon.

    JohnBoy Thanks this.

I've heard the same thing, my only question is, just how many teams do we have?

What is "Automated Event Recorder (AER)" listed in the section "inside our trucks" on Abilene's website?

Hard braking, swerving or loss of traction initiates the QC to what the truck was doing at that moment.

I had my first hard brake in the 3 years I've been here last week and called into safety to explain what happened. I was told it's a mute discussion and was put to bed. I was told they have drivers that get these once a day, my once in 3 years was a no discussion.

Exactly. I'm still in 1346. My choice. I didn't want a brand new KW. Nor did I want a dirty, lived in (& by that I mean gross), newer Volvo that was available, but yet to be detailed. Told Bill that unless I can grab a brand new one, I'd rather stay in the one I have since they've decided to keep a few of the 13 series. So 698500 miles and going strong (for now). But, if I see even one solo person in a 17 Volvo, I'm not going to be the nice quiet person y'all have come to know and love. Bwahhhhh!!!

Good for you. Not to add fuel to the fire, but they had new hires right out of orientation get into brand new KW's.

Yup. I know. I just don't like the KWs. I'm sure I'm in the minority, but...One could've been mine if I wanted it. I'd rather have a Volvo. I have so much cooking stuff and the fridge is way bigger. Plus I workout in the truck and neither the Freightliner nor the KW have any room to move. I'm trying to lose the 25 pounds I found when I started here the heck off. Much harder than putting it on, for sure!

    Lonesome and JohnBoy Thank this.

Hey John. If I come on board.. could always train me. I don't smoke and a cleanly person. All I require is a bit of AC now and again but not like it's mega hot out yet. I have to call Sandra or Rusty Monday. By the way for the other posted comment..Sandra has been on medical leave since Weds last week I think.
