Oh, and I did forget they are pretty good at getting you home in emergencies. I've had 2 major ones and a couple minor ones that I was home very quickly. Even dead headed me from Chicago to my house near VA Beach once. So, yeah, they get you there when you need to be. But, it's still trucking and things happen that you may be late getting home a time or two. You just gotta roll with it.

As for the lease...it is also forced dispatch (with a little leniency), so why put yourself thru the headache? Just my opinion.

How are the trucks? Are they governed? And do they require washes and etc. also I heard a rumor that if you get in an accident you pay half the repairs.

As far as denying loads, I've never denied one. But scared to death of the NY city Burroughs. Always heard bad things and never wanted to try, so that's the only load I'd think about denying. Then again I may try it once. Idk

As far as why I'd want to do lease, because my dream has always been to own my own truck since the first time my pops bought him one. Just the pride in saying something is yours.

I'm still considering coming aboard myself. I think their trucks are governed at 68 and they are automatics.

Trucks are awesome... Rotate roughly every three years or so.. All with inverters, fridges, and can hook up your own Microwave and TV.

I hope you like John Deere Green... LOL

Been to NY/NJ couple times... Sometimes the backs have been a bit challenging but other than busy traffic, I survived it.

I have heard others say it's very similar to other big cities... Just bigger.... And a worse rap.

Luckily the OTR folks don't get sent there that often... The NE Regional guys take the majority of those trips and sneak in and out at night.

    4mer trucker Thanks this.
