I can feel for your situation. Taking a chance with something really important here. Gotta be stressful. Not sure what could "fall through" with your applying to Abilene but having gotten to know some of these folks a little, I'm willing to bet you'll have some good advice and help along the way. I won't have been here long by the time you start but if I can help, I'll sure try. Best wishes and keep stepping forward.

If overly worried, I would just call and talk to Rusty... He would certainly understand your concerns and might be able to give you more insight to your situation.

I should have thought of that yesterday. Oh well better to be an hour early than an hour late.

Im at consignee now-ish. Its a university campus with those quaint tree lined little roads running through it. Nope not chancing those until I know for sure I need to.

I'm across the street in a church parking lot. There are lots of no trespassing and tow away zone signs but surely the church wouldn't turn away a weary traveller in seek of refuge?.

I already know the 7-11 next door couldn't care less about that traveler's bathroom needs.

Thanks, my man. I don't really think I'll be turned down. I'm a grown-up with verifiable grown-up credentials. I've been working six days a week for the past two years at two different jobs and I'm leaving both on good terms. It's been 15 years since I last got a ticket of any kind, moving violation or otherwise. I am a law-abiding citizen with not even a whiff of trouble with the police. And I have a shiny new CDL.

But I have learned over the course of my life that just because I can't think of a reason why I would be turned down doesn't mean I won't be turned down. So "hope for the best, but prepare for the worst", as they say...

If they took me with an old dusty CDL that hasn't been used in 16 years they will take you with a brand new one.

Man I love that copilot app between that and the satellite option on maps and my trucker atlas I don't even use the rm gps anymore. Do you just use the regular copilot or did you buy the truck version? I haven't bought the truck one yet just curious to chat with someone who has

Well, now we are to pick up in Brazelton, then meet and swap with a team in Brazelton at a Pilot, and swap loads. I'll take their load to Dublin, then deadhead home.

Still holding at 2 strikes, tho.
