Paragraph 4 of the contract stipulates 15 days notice for termination. I was terminated without cause or notice and left scrambling to find another carrier. They even canceled my insurance and tags. Took a call from a lawyer to get them to reverse it and get me off the side of the road where I was trapped. Mercer is having extreme financial problems. Cutting contractors loose as fast as possible.

Okay, you got me. Too smart for me. The truth is I delivered my last load and then was terminated without cause or warning because Mercer is having financial problems and is cutting loose drivers who live in areas where they don’t have much freight.

Full of #### if so people in FL that are home most of the year would be fired. Try another reason.

On your other Mercer bashing thread you note that your 1 week of loss revenue really hurt you... Sounds like your the one with extreme financial issues if 1 week of no income is really hurting you that bad.

You really have reading comprehension issues. I said I lost a week of revenue, not that it really hurt me. Now screw off. You are obviously a troll.

Most contracts between Carriers and O/O don't need a reason to terminate the contract. You can cancel whenever you want and the same for the carrier. As for not giving you the contractual 15 days, that is a blessing in disguised. What if they told you , Mr O/O we are cancelling your contract in 15 days, and then they just didn't dispatch you , all legal. You would of paid for 2 extra weeks of whatever they charged monthly to work there with no loads. Insurance and tags, never lease on to a company and have them provide tags, I'm sure insurance does not cancel the moment the phone call is made. You paid for the insurance through deduction , maybe.
