Us Boomers were busy doing paper routes, baling hay and flipping burgers during our teen years to earn money because it was unheard of to be handed everything. After we did all that we went home cleaned up and went on dates, partied and drove cars that you can only dream of or see at auctions. We didn't need a "third space" We created our own. It might have been a few kegs in the woods with 50 of us, or a party similar at a friends house in town. Because of how we were raised our work ethic is a little different. And we knew how to behave in public. There were no participation trophies, if you lost then you sucked it up and did better the next time.
