I'm a local Class B driver and I feel like some Class A drivers look down on me. But I also think some Class A OTR drivers could never handle what I do in my geographical area. The steep grades, and having to chain up in white out blizzard conditions.

Me personally I show respect to all courteous commercial drivers

Local jobs aren't always mandated to run a tight 11 hour shift either. We could run anywhere from 4 hours a day to 14 hours a day and nothing necessarily to make companies make sure that we get enough time off before our next shift. So, i agree that some local jobs are much tougher than OTR jobs, especially when having to deal with touch freight like unloading and loading. I for one give my hat off to the beer keg delivery drivers. That's a rough gig that i wouldn't do period.

I started off in my Professional Driving career working for a local Budweiser distributor. You are right, it is a very rough gig. Depending on the type of beer those kegs can weigh 200 pounds and you have to double stack them on a hand truck.

A buddy of mine works for a similar job delivering to bars around the state of Ohio. He's a big dude though and works out, so he enjoys it but the stories he tells makes me think about my current situation not being so bad lol.

This one is almost real, but because he has to deliver at each store he goes to he's also a faker. It's only real if you either bump a dock or swap out trailers.

When I worked that job I became the most physically fit I've ever been.
I still remember wheeling down double stacked kegs and there was ice on my ramp, I took a good tumble and the kegs came down on top of me
