Yeah, that post naively ignores fundamental game theory.

An individual who carries a firearm can and should also train to defend against these Steven Segal wannabe gun-grabbing moves. This includes, like you mentioned, keeping a certain distance as well as other methods (should that distance become closed off).

Now - the individual has the advantage of a gun AND knowledge on how to better protect himself from getting it taken away from him. Like many things in life, it boils down to perfect practice until it becomes ingrained into you.

    Double Action Only.

I bought the gun because I saw one with no pic rail, before I knew anything about Sigs of course.

It's the most awful trigger pull in the world, IMO.

I always thought the 226 was a great gun though I never had the chance to fire one. My 1911 is a Taurus made back in the 90's I believe and i have only had some finish issues due to my own stupidity.

With proper training the capacity shouldn't be an issue unless you're facing multiple armed assailants. MMeaning more than 3.

Not an idiot scratch. Rusty slide from locking it in a hot and humid car for 2 weeks :(

Got the rust off but now anytime I carry it the rust returns by the end of the day.

Not sure yet if I'll have it re-blued, duracoat it my self or send it out to be ceracoat'd

In truth I wish I had the space and equipment for a hot blue setup but no such luck at the moment
