I can already say been there done that, this is the third truck I have owned, just been out of the O/O game for awhile. I came to SNI as a experienced dedicated driver. I ran Van OTR in 2007 with them and made a switch to a dedicated account in 2010. The account I was on was based out of Wilmington, NC. As for where I run out of, Charlotte, NC. I am from down east in NC. I don't per say have an area I run, I run where the money is. If that means I have to run the mid-west then so be it. I am in business to make money, and to do that you have to be willing to get in the area that is paying the money. I have a pic of my second truck, maybe when I get home I will scan it in and post it for everyone, I was absolutely in love with it. 1998 KW W900L 550 CAT, 1850 ft lb of torque 3.55 rears, and she would haul the mail. Sometimes I really miss that truck, then I look at the cost of fuel and I am glad I don't have it.

Left out of the house with plenty of time to make delivery outside Baltimore yesterday and ran into a wall of traffic on 495. Ended up 45 minutes late for delivery only to find out that my load was not on the delivery schedule. They unloaded it anyway, thank goodness. While I was at home I booked 3 loads and realized once I left that I was going to run out of my 70 today. I tried to get the loads pulled off, but they could not cover the first one, but pulled the other 2 off, which really made no sense. I managed to pull off picking up both stops on my load today with less than 3 hours on my 70. Surprising this load was suppose to weigh 22k pounds. Loaded 1050 pounds (one skid) at the first stop and 4700 pounds (10 skids) at the second. It runs 220 miles and pays out at 2.20 per mile. Not a bad run. Managed to book a load out of PA to NC for delivery on Saturday. Will see what happens from there. May go home and take a 34, but I have good hours to recap next week so I may just run until next weekend. So at the moment I am parked in DFO's favorite spot at the Carlisle OC. Got the truck washed at the beacon and picked up a few things for the truck. Ready to run in the morning. Until Next Time...

Not a bad day today, woke up to a message on the QC saying my load to Henderson, NC had cancelled. They wanted me to call in and advise if I wanted to keep my other 2 loads. So I jumped on the load board and only found 1 load that put me near my second load. Did not pay bad and I could pick it up and deliver it today. I got very lucky, the load picked up in North Bergen, NJ; I managed to get in and out with no traffic complications. Let's try not to do that again. Took the load to Winchester, Va and delivered it to the Home CrapO... Parked now at a nice little place a friend told me about. Nice little mom and pop place that has a grill and a dang fine philly cheese steak. Picking up my next load headed down to Ga tomorrow afternoon. Have to really watch my hours, I only have 1 left on my 70 and pick up 9.5 at midnight. Planning to run through the weekend and make my final delivery on Monday in Henderson NC, then I am taking a 34 at the house with nearly 4700 in revenue for the week. Stay Safe this weekend and until next time...

Stopped through the house for the night, my load back to Henderson cannot pick up until Monday morning between 0047 and 0117, no need to rush down to Ga to sit in an OC when I was coming right by the house. Good to be home and take a nice hot shower and have a home cooked meal. My couch and DVR missed me...lol Heading out tomorrow afternoon around 1600 to Kathleen, should be there around 2200 then a quick run up to Fairbun to pick up. Going to try and get north of Atlanta before I shut it down tomorrow.

I am at home for a 34 hour restart, I ran my recap until I was not gaining enough hours to make sense staying out. Will be leaving on the 27th heading to Chesapeake Va, then down to Union City, GA and back up to Browns Summit NC. All told 1250 miles for 2k in revenue. Average of 1.54 a mile; nothing over 22K pounds. Should turn in a nice short week.

I did learn a lesson this week, book loads as you see them on the board, don't wait. I saw a couple good loads that paid in the 2.80 range and thought I would wait until I could back them up with something decent. that obviously did not work out. When I came back to them they were gone from the board.

Since I am home I have taken advantage of the time and removed my refrigerator and bench tested it. No power from the built in wiring. I will bypass this tomorrow and straight wire it to the batteries with a 15a inline fuse. The fridge works fine on the bench and cools to -8 degrees on the coldest setting. I tested the wiring with both my multimeter and test light and found no power at the plug to the fridge but power from the fuse panel. rather than wait in line at the dealer I am just going to run new wire myself tomorrow.

I called and asked my rep from SFI about an exception since it has not worked from the first day and she was not able to confirm the exception so the cheap alternative is to wire it myself.

I went to the KW dealer today looking for floor mats cut for my truck, they were not even able to give me a part number for my specific model and offered me a set of universal fit mats for $65. I told them to shove it and I will look for the number myself and order them from a dealer that can provide service. I did pick up a set of billet aluminum extensions for my glad hands and a complete set of hub covers. I was surprised at the price on the hub covers. $7.99 at the hook and $5.50 at the dealer.

My kids cleaned the inside of my truck and put armor all on every plastic surface you could see. Looks good, but to bad it was raining, so the dirt and grime on the outside will have to stay. I offered my kids services to DFO for a small fee and maybe one day he will take them up on it...LMFAO. For you folks that don't know DFO is a very genuine person and I don't think you could ask for a better friend.

    Until next time....

    Stay Tuned.
