I have been reading alot about tankers...I'm really interested in it. Thanks for the suggestions!!

Schneider has a tanker division in Charlotte. I was reading a few job descriptions on their site. One thing it says is
    • Ability to park personal vehicle in Charlotte, NC
Does that mean I would have to leave a vehicle there? Why would that be? I could leave my pick up there...but would rather not. Maybe I'll buy an old beater to leave ther...OK getting ahead of myself...school first!

Does anyone have any experience with the Johnston County CC CDL course?

The program says monday-Friday 7a-6p for 8 weeks for just under $1000. I would have to get my CDL permit first. That seems like alot of training. Not saying thats bad. I'm sure I need it. Thats 440 Hours!!

Have you considered just going to Scneider's School? Would send you bus ticket then don't need to worry about vehicle there. JMO.

All my options are still open, school wise.... I am looking into it. The question about leaving the truck is if I got hired I would need to have that ability. I wasnt quite sure why, thats why I asked.

I had a great conversation with the people at JCCC about their course. Very nice people. I would need to have my permit BEFORE class starts. I went yesterday to the DMV and got the CDL book. WOW. alot of info.

After spending the last 2 days working ripping out ant infested rotted wood on a house in 95*hot sunny humid weather....up a 40' ladder.... I really wanna be a truck driver!!! lol
