From what I read, you can plan on handling lots of furniture when you start out with W/S. As far as miles, I don't know. Con-way's miles have been described to me as consistently inconsistent. That was my experience while I was with them. I do plan on going back there at some point though. i suppose it comes down to what is reallyy important to you though. Good equipment is a big one for me.

Thanks vmaggs. Made it through bootcamp this week with Con-Way. Learned a lot from the instructors, great guys with a lot of experience. Tomorrow is back to Joplin. Very excited to meet my finisher. I want her to make me a mini-me of her...lol. Hopefully will get to meet some of you from this forum on the road. Again thanks for the input on this forum. You and a lot of others have been so helpful. :yes2557:

Will do, so far so good. I have been really impressed with Crowder so far; instructors are knowledgeable and seem to be willing to work with you to iron out the wrinkles. Quite a few different truck and transmission combinations to grind the gears on, we were driving on the 3rd day and had our first road trip on the 5th. I think most of us were not too much of a threat to the general public. :biggrin_25523:

Oh, and don’t let sandmaninmojo fool you, he is in my class.

Just finished paperwork for prequalification. Will have to go out for a couple thousand miles with a trainer before I go solo. Hoping I can be heading for orientation by Monday.

Have fun in bootcamp. RC and John are just great and will teach you a lot in a short amount of time. We are now just waiting on finishers to be assigned to us and then will hit the open road. Looking forward to that. Good luck and have fun.:biggrin_25519:

LOL, Katey, that backing test was a pain. I messed up my first try but got it the second time around. I can back that trailer in the most messed up snake twisting tight dock i can imagine, but a basic two cone 45 degree with a guy with a clipboard was nerve racking!
