We have kids, and they expect something on Christmas Eve or Morning... ;-) Start early, get it out of the way. Me, I don't want nothing. I purchase as I need, and I was looking at the snow plow yesterday morning, going to have to get that out here shortly. Supposed to be another bad winter.

not for nothing, but i taught my kids a serious lesson ONE year, and that was ALL they needed, to NEVER EXPECT anything......on Christmas, Birthdays, graduation....weddings, etc...etc.

one Christmas, i (and my ex), got them NOTHING....

    that's right...nothing.....

they were told that i was on lay off, and thier mothers pay was just barely enough to pay the mortgage and food...and we had NO MONEY.....

that was not true, i was working.......but i put them in thier place, to be "expecting"........

to this day, they ask..."dad, are you able to help me with this"?.

not, "dad, you have to pay for this, for me".....cuz i'll show them the freaking door, in like .5 nano seconds.....

Oh come on, these are nieces and nephews, the oldest just started her first day of kindergarten. My daughter, she has a good husband, she wants for nothing. The grandkids same boat... But I still send them gifts... And no, they never call for anything.
