This seems like a reasonable deal to me. The more training the better your odd of success .
Yes I know many old timers here will tell you they started with no training at all and things worked out fine for them, but that is a risky path.
Why risk getting into a tough spot and losing your CDL?
I think six weeks of training will better set you up for success

In the big picture , four weeks at $600 a week or 2 weeks at $600 a week isn’t going to matter .
If the trainer is any good , you could learn a lot .
I know a guy that signed up for 36 weeks of training at $550 a week , after he had just finished 13 weeks at a community college CDL class
And it was worth every week of it since it was at a heavy haul oversize company .The Crossword Trucker Thanks this. -

That may seem snarky and unappreciative of your service (it’s not - thank you), but it’s fairly equatable. There’s really more to it, and most mistakes are made while not traveling in a straight line (well, if you remove cel phone/distracted driving from the equation). -
