thanks i am nervous about getting into this field of work. I don't want to pay for school and then be out of work. I start school in about a month and really want to work at w/s I've contacted a recruiter and filled out an app. she said everything looks good but I'm worried about the economy.

Allow me to expound on this thought, a lot of the stuff we run is basic necessities. TP BEER Flour wheat, we run when the others are sitting, I think we have hit a bit of the ndw year lowl that the other have been having since Jan 1st. It shouldn't last long, I would highly suggest that you get in here quickly, I am very glad I am here and have no intentions of leaving anytime soon, with that said if for example UPS told me they would like me to run doubles at night for them for$ 2000: a week and I would be home every night I would have to consider that, but since UPS doesn't even know I exist that probably isn't going to happen.. keep up the process, this is a good place to be. Glad to see all the good things about a company. Just reinforces that I made the right decision. I am supposed to be starting orientation in Conover on March 28th. Can't wait to get started.

Did you guys have to sign a contract requiring you stay with W/S a certain period of time with punitive consequences if you don't?

i just changed my orientation to March 28. school is going to take longer than i thought you have to log a certian number of hours and there aren't enough trucks for everyone right now.

Well I am in Missoula Mt, I spoke with my recruiter Sandy and she said it is very slow, I asked why and she said she didn't know, she was trying to figure that out herself, this week they had 3 complete the 10 day here in Missoula and the class going out next week is 5 but I thi k they are going to lose one of them, we will see.

Part of it may be that a lot of WIA money has run out, so there are fewer people going through commercial schools until June or July. We only have two in my class. I wouldn't mind there being more than two when I go to orientation next month, but if not, I'll deal.
