I had a question about not being able to take the truck home and having to drive my personal car to and from the terminals.
I am okay with not being able to take the truck home as I understand the risks. I have no problem driving to and from the terminals except for the fact that the closest terminal to me is in Dalton which is like two hours away.
Does that put me out of W/S hiring area? If not, would they expect me to drive that far to go to work?
Just wondered how this would work out.
Any questions from prospects or lookers from real Watkins and Shepard drivers?

you are in our hireing area, and yea you would still have to use your POV to get to and from the terminal. I have to drive 1.5 hours each way to conover, it sucks but considering all the good things about W/S it makes this issue not worth worrying about.

I 'think' you have to do the drive UNLESS they have a trailer-drop-yard near your home where you park your trailer and drive to your house from there for hometime. For instance Roehl is located in Wisconsin but has a drop-yard in Richmond for people who live here and work for Roehl. That is the way I have understood it to work. Good luck! -
Thanks guys for the replies. Well AT, you made me feel a little better knowing you drive an hour and a half to go to work.
Hope to be making a move by spring of next year. Got two companies in mind right now. Hopefully will get hired by one of them! -
Why do furnature loads out of Myrtle only pay $5 a drop and Conover $20?

I thought Myrtle was 25
