These are the ones I use. They aren't the full-calf ones so are a bit lighter, have oil-resistant soles so they grip on pretty much anything (even after walking through all the fuel on the islands at the Pilot,) and are quite comfortable. And they actually last a pretty long time. Biggest issue I have had with them is the shoelaces get pretty worn due to the metal eyelet at the top. Can't remember the name of them right now, but they are mostly black with some yellow trim.

Edit: Found em: clicky. Not a bad deal at all.

If you can stand the initial wallet squeeze and inner voice asking why you are spending "that kind" of money on SHOES, Sorel makes fantastic boots. Totally waterproof, warm without making your feet hot and best of all....lifetime warranty. If they fall apart you take them back in to where you bought them and they replace them. It was painful the first time I bought a pair. 150 dollars for boots? On sale no less? I was slightly ill over that...but they were highly recommended by everyone in the family. I wore them all winter through some pretty nasty weather and I never once had a problem.

Once I even stepped out of the truck into a puddle of water that was at least 3 inches over my ankle. I stood there staring down at my boots, just waiting for them to fail me and to feel that icy cold water trickling in... nothing. Bone dry. They are very well designed boots and very comfortable. Just a little pricey.

Whatever you get spend the money. Danner, Red Wings etc. Don't go for cheep Walmart or Payless crap. In the end you will regret the decision.

I bought cabelas insulated and can NOT recommend them due to being very slippery, no traction.

Although I haven't tried them, there were many great reviews and recommendations from drivers in my previous post link (post #12) on the Wolverine Durashock boots.

I got these Bates boots and love them! Waterproof, insulated, COMFORTABLE, breathable, and the best part is the side zipper makes for quick and easy putting on and taking off. They have great traction and don't even need to be broken in. I bought them at Amazon so they cost less than at this site, but you get what you pay for.
