I would never run team, money be ######. 90% of my motivation for considering a trucking career is that I want to spend the bulk of my time alone. Have any of you ever felt coerced by your companies to do it?
The first company I worked for was teams only. I like money so I chose teams with my current company.
I was never "ordered" into team driving, but one company I had worked for, it was thier policy for students to team for a few weeks, and it was ok by me, as I applied for the job. Another job I had, I was asked if I could help out and team with a newbie for a couple of weeks, and again, I complied. So if someone is FORCING you to team, then either leave the job or speak NICELY how you'd rather not be a team. If asked as a "favor to help out", I will try my best, as this can be a benefit for me later on, and it always was later when I would want an extra day or two off, and got'em, no questions asked!! SO "one hand washes the other" so to speak.
I wouldn't have a problem doing it for a short period at the beginning; there's always some price to be paid. Thanks.
