I would never run team, money be ######. 90% of my motivation for considering a trucking career is that I want to spend the bulk of my time alone. Have any of you ever felt coerced by your companies to do it?

The first company I worked for was teams only. I like money so I chose teams with my current company.

I was never "ordered" into team driving, but one company I had worked for, it was thier policy for students to team for a few weeks, and it was ok by me, as I applied for the job.

Another job I had, I was asked if I could help out and team with a newbie for a couple of weeks, and again, I complied.

So if someone is FORCING you to team, then either leave the job or speak NICELY how you'd rather not be a team.

If asked as a "favor to help out", I will try my best, as this can be a benefit for me later on, and it always was later when I would want an extra day or two off, and got'em, no questions asked!!

SO "one hand washes the other" so to speak.

The only way they could coerce me is with a 20-30yr old hottie as a teammate(with benefits)!!!!!! :biggrin_25522:

I wouldn't have a problem doing it for a short period at the beginning; there's always some price to be paid. Thanks.
