    8% to 10% to the carrier is very low. The carrier has the responsibility to supply primary liability and cargo insurance for all trucks leased on to them. They can charge back the O/O if they choose. Again that percentage will barely cover insurance to the carrier.

    Then just find a reasonable lease and give it a try.
    Some of the companies will do a 1 year lease instead of the typical 3 or more. Will be about the same in the end.
