when you get pulled for a weight check the cop is going to be interested in how much weight you have paid registration fees for.

So pay.reg fees for the maximum weight you think your unit will be.

i have seen lots of contractors pulling trailers with wallboard and lumber get some large fines for pulling over the gcwr.
