Hope you can help! We heard that there is a list of Peterbilts with certain engine serial numbers that Peterbilt dealers cannot take inn trade. These have Cummins in them 2008 & 09's' if so our attorney would like the list for our lawsuit against.Cummins, won't admit they have a problem. So if anyone can help or answer this it be of great help. THANKS

I am sure they are going get that list for you as soon as they can. Since you just told them you plan on using it to sue!

    2006 387 Heatr Cord/Valve

Can anyone help, im looking for the bunk heater valve. The bunk only blow cold air and I need it to blow warm. My front cab blower locked up, went out, whatever. Im trying to get by until I make it home to get it fixed to avoid the extra charges at the truckstop, if at all possible. Any help would be appreciated.

    Vaporlock,

I can definitely confirm that I have NEVER seen of heard of a list of trucks we cannot take in on trade. All trades are the sole discretion of each dealer and so this wouldn't be something Peterbilt Corporate would dictate.

Cummins ISX and the PACCAR MX-13 are the two options. Both have their benefits depending on your application.

Being a 13L the MX is the lighter of the two and as you might guess, stands to get a little better fuel economy.

We don't see any real 'issues' with either of these engines. At this point most of the headaches these days are with sensors and after-treatment components.

    ost1,

Which dealership did you take your truck to? I don't represent ALL dealerships, just The Pete Store which operates 9 stores on the east coast. Regardless, I'd be happy to help if your issue has yet to be resolved. PM me with some more info about what happened and be sure to include the last 6 of the VIN, and a contact phone number.
