Some of the folks on my board are averaging in the 9's. It depends on a lot of things including weight, terrain, weather. Especially, driver techinque. Anybody can take a truck like an Evo and drive it so poorly that it turns out 6's. Before this last bout of bad weather the 30-day average in my '09 Cascadia was 8.1 mpg...
I see there is a credit check required. I am about ready to file for bankruptcy, hence the need for a better career. Is that a show stopper with Prime?
It's not a credit check, and they could care less about your financial situation unless someone decides to start garnishing your wages. You're signing the same paperwork for a credit check because the DAC file covering your commercial driving history (even if you don't have one) comes under the same laws as credit. To get access to your DAC report - to make sure you're not lying about your lack of a commercial driving history - Prime has to do the same paperwork that someone else would do to verify your credit history. Just so you know, every large carrier does the same thing... only some small outfits don't bother with it. It's part of your background check to prevent Prime from being hit with a negligent hiring lawsuit if you go out and slaughter someone's family with an 18-wheeler. The small ones don't have to bother because there's not enough money there to tempt an ambulance chasing attorney into trying to financially ruin them.
I will early tomorrow. I have a clean Criminal record, clean driving record and no health issue. Thanks for the prompt reply
