At least three dead and 15 hurt when semi rear-ends bus carrying students in Ohio

Either that or the bus was parked on the shoulder/disabled and the truck driver was distracted or fatigued and went off the road onto the shoulder into the bus. Take your pick.
Either way this accident doesn’t make any sense!

 

Yeah I was going to ask what was the cause of the accident? Very sad when these incidents happen and shows just how vigilant drivers need to be while on the highway.

 

Too many people paying attention to everything except what they should be paying to …the road

 

There is also a car involved and the truck on the shoulder in front of the bus has damage to it's right rear. This will put the OHSP on a tear for enforcement in the coming months.

 

Thats what i said earlier. Front of bus was damaged from hitting trailer in front of it. Either traffic was stopped or stopping fast and bus slammed into the truck in front of it or the truck in rear pushed it there.

 

I’m headed back to the shop right now and just got forced off I-70 now. So as of this post, the highway is still closed.

 

Seems like bad judgement was involved.

 

I saw no less than 15 OHP patrol cars and SUVs today on I-77 all staged in the median crossover spots.

Latest news says 6 dead and both truck drivers survived with minor injuries.

 

News said the road will have to be repaved before it can open back up....

 

My wife said there is Facebook chatter about a red car that might have triggered the accident. Take that statement as a rumor.

The theory about a u-turn seems quite plausible.
