Pickup truck wise the only ones left in our market that still offer a manual transmission are the Jeep Gladiator and the Toyota Tacoma(on certain trim levels only).
SUV wise Jeep Wrangler and Ford Bronco are all that’s left!
Automakers wonder why their trucks aren’t selling??..it’s obvious

2025 Jeep Gladiator Loses Manual, Adds Standard Power Locks and Windows
No more stick shift Jeep pickup trucks!
Wrangler is the last Jeep with a wrist flicker!
In a strange twist, the Wrangler V6 will only come with a stick shift!
Jeep's V-6 Wrangler Is Going Exclusively Stick-Shift
Me personally, based on previous experience I would try to find a well maintained not significantly altered Wrangler TJ (1996-2006 model years-introduced in 1996 as a 1997 model year vehicle) with the tried and true 4.0 liter AMC PowerTech straight six, with either the 5-speed or the 6-speed manual.Last edited: Oct 1, 2024

Perhaps for the price they should be made harder to steal. Or not able to work on a different truck unless synced or paired?broke down plumber, mjd4277, Flat Earth Trucker and 1 other person Thank this.

So glad I have an older pick up. Couple power conveniences but nothing crazy.

Yeah. My next car is going to be an old Toyota like an FJ Cruiser or something of the like. I just sold my 2022 RogueSport SL for the payoff. I got sick of paying $540 a month for a car I don't drive. In 2 years I put 5800 miles on that car because, you know, trucking. No more paying for a car that costs more than a small condo or a good chunk of land (in some places). And then they crap when the warranty runs out.broke down plumber, hope not dumb twucker, mjd4277 and 2 others Thank this.

Thieves probably swipe the taillights out of these Fords, then sell them to another theft victim for half price of new and have a money making racket going on. Maybe I should quit trucking hmmm.

Crooks will always find a workaround. Today's crooks are very tech-savvy. The big question is, "what is the markup on these headlights?" If you believe that they even cost 1/4 of the $3000 they charge to fabricate, then I got some land west of Naples, Fl that I'd love to sell you.broke down plumber, hope not dumb twucker, mjd4277 and 3 others Thank this.
