who's ready for beep boop baap computer brake check . Every truck build after dec 2022 is supposed to have this system . Law was passed by biden administration and fmcsa is going to start enforcing it . From my experience there is no way to turn this system off as its tied to the trucks abs.

I'm sure loggers and anyone else who spends any time on icy/muddy roads will love that crap.

I'm seeing images of lots of trucks rolling down the sides of mountains.

It sucks big time . Brakes catching random stuff on the road. Bad mix with winter weather.

I wonder if they will have a switch to disable it off road like they do with the ABS.

If these systems would leave you the hell alone and actually work correctly I'd have no complaints about them. I don't need it beeping at me for not keeping a mile gap between me and the guy in front of me while I'm driving through New England. Our "safety gaps" are like magnets that just pull in every car around us. Last truck I drove with that set up had the all wires cut lol guess a driver couldn't take it anymore

I'm driving a 2020 Freightliner and it works good. It not the Bendix system, that seems to have troubles. I believe it's a Mercedes-Benz system. It's built into the truck. It works good so far for 279,000 miles.

    Dealership can shut it off.
Trucks offroad cannot have the system active.

When I broke in with Prime my truck had this and some road barrels set it off and slammed on the brakes. I was bobtail at the time and while it did jar the hell out of me and tweek my back a bit I was just thankful I didn't have a load of steel beams or something similar at the time. The other time it got me was going under an overpass it just went off for no reason but it was quicker and less severe.

Thankfully, I work for a company that does not own any trucks that new.
