Federal regs and company policies are 2 different things. While you may still have a CDL after being convicted of a DUI, I guarentee you that you will not have a job. 99.99999% of companies have a zero tolerance policy to alcohol and other contraband. A trace of any controlled substance will earn you a pink slip and a one way ticket to the unemployment line. Not only that, a DUI is a career ending ticket. Most companies wouldn't touch you with a load lock even if your DUI was 10 years old.
