Speaking of bankruptcy, I knew a guy who was down to his last $50 before the bank took his house, his cars and his dignity. He was at a Union 76 truckstop in the middle of nowhere in Arkansas staring at a pitcher of sweet tea.

The company he worked for had written him a bad check and he sat there thinking about how he would get home with a truck that had a leaking radiator. Just then, a man walked in from a steel plant and said "I've got a 50K coil that I need hauled to McKesson Pharmaceuitcals and I will pay 10k.

Well, this trucker was a legend, they called him The Honest Razorback. He filled the radiator with sweet tea and headed out. He shows up to the steel mill with a 28 foot pup with wood walls. All he had was two load locks and a bungee cord. Not only did the load get there safely, but he even got a job working for Mckesson testing their psychotropic drugs. Bankruptcy avoided.

    The end.

Many of you seem to miss the fact that many companies deliberately use the laws to their own advantage. They deliberately run up their debt ratios and then file as bankrupt to discharge some of that debt. It is a common business practice. It leaves taxpayers on the hook for debt. Filing does not necessarily mean they are in money trouble.
