Been at Maverick Transportation for 6 six years and still enjoy it

OK being where you live and going flatbed you should have a pretty good shot of getting an instructor with in 150 mile radius of you but just remember it isn't guaranteed. we do have quite a few of us instructors around you I just don't know the availibity of everyone. But even if you get one that isn't close by it doesn't seem like a long time once you get into it. Its over before you know it.

Sounds good. Does the trucks come with inverters in them? I was trying to see if I needed to start looking for one to pick up or not?

Sorry for asking all these questions, I'm assuming they try to put you in the region that you applied for to train. If not, can you request a certain trainer in the area that they live in? For instance I'm in Alabama, but if I can't get an instructor from this area, could I request one from like Ohio? I have family that lives in Middletown, OH and I could get dropped off there for the weekends if we get off time?

 

Unfortunately we can't request our trainers or anything you can mention that you have family I. Middletown and it may help out but it is done pretty random by availability of the trainers, and then it starts with 150 miles from each other, then you got things like smoking or not dipper or not female or male and it places you with the best fit at the time. Even tho your neighbor may get a trainer from auburn all next week, he just wasn't available when you was up. Does that make sense?? If we were able to choose then everyone would have to be able to choose and we usually have around 30 students a week come thru it would be mad. And you are not a bother I am happy to help.

 

I definitely understand that. I didn't make it in for this weekend orientation. I'm hoping to make it next week now. Trying to make sure I bring everything I need with me incase I don't get to make it back home any. Not worried about the home time use to it due to the military, but just want to be prepared. Is there anything I need to bring that isn't on the packing list that I'll need out on the road?

 

Hey Tommy good thread been talking to maverick they already got me approved was just wondering do they have a policy on your hair length or tattoos ?

 

We do not have any policies in place at this time. Just ask to keep the ink covered if it could be offensive, that is just out of respect for others. Hair is not an issue as long as it is well maintained. Have they given you a date yet

 

They do a pretty good job covering everything you need but you for sure want some really good winter clothes this winter has been crazy. I've been in the negatives most of the day up here around Toledo and chicago. If you want to bring a laptop or something like to that it would give you something to do in what little spare time you have. Shower shoes is a must I really don't know much else.
