Besides Volvo, are there any carriers in the U.S. that use MAN trucks?

Yep. They have been involved with a horsepower battle with Volvo over the past decade. Scania opting for V 8 power and Volvo using big displacement six cylinder engines.

MAN are a nice truck, they are very comfortable and well finished but they really are not a long life truck, engine is known in NA. As maxxforce, not very reliable, the auto box is that terrible ZF unit.

VW own man and Scania , VW wants a presence in NA, at the moment they are trying to take over international, if that happens you could see more man products here, I doubt they will be sold as cabover models here either for the simple reason euro cabovers are too heavy, they'd be about 1000 kgs overweight on the steers empty, also in Canada at least you can't import a euro truck unless its over 15 years old, there's a few Scania about but that pretty much rules out mans lol

This is true, Scania we're told Is due an 800hp this year, scanias v8 is a 1000hp marine engine detuned to match a truck transmission eventhough they have the strongest transmission on the market today
