There’s a Pilot on 287 in Texas. About 20 miles east of Wichita Falls. They got bar b que. The hot spicy chicken is to die for.
Lisa’s Truck Stop in Moriarty, NM. About 40 miles east of Albuquerque on i40. Anything they serve is great. People even lust over the voluptuous club sandwich. That’s the least.

From the pilot at exit 374, a 10 minute walk down the hike and bike trail next to the McDonalds. Also, using the street intersection near the BMW dealership is a good route. Great atmosphere.

Foodwise, there is so much going on in that little area. So many restaurants,/culinary adventures, too numerous to name.

I wish Del Taco would go nationwide. Kicks Taco Bell and Taco John's rear.

And the Burgers were good too.
I remember those stands on Hwy 99 that advertised "Free Apple Juice". Then they would have a sign saying "Apple Juice is a Natural Laxative". People would stop and many would buy something other than apple juice.

I can’t see how any idiot would push Del Taco so hard. It ain’t even in the same class with many mentioned here. Just another fast food. It’s ok. Don’t tell me I don’t know. I worked at a Del Taco when a teenager.

I have gotten some great dinners through door dash. All kinds of great food. From different cultures. It’s just what’s available locally wherever you’re at.
Don’t try it on the Joisey turnpike. Had a dasher rip DoorDash. Didn’t want to come out on the turnpike. Little did the Einstein of a dasher realize. Along with the 20% tip I included. I had a ten dollar bill in my hand for them. Cause I knew it was going to cost them money to get on the turnpike.

Notice I didn't call it good Mexican food, I compared it to Taco Bell and Taco John's. Its good FAST food.
