Polishing compound works. Rubbing compound first, if real bad.

Same thing for wheels with stubborn build-up of brake dust.

My trainer used the clindo stuff to clean his windows on the outside. Seemed to work well. Had a buddy who Id work for on weekends to make some extra cash, that cleaned windows and all he ever used was dawn and water.

Mister Clean Magic Eraser sponge like thing and water. Takes some elbow grease but made my Accord lights 95% better.

Bought a Project Farm t-shirt. Cost me $30. Washed it before I wore it, and the dang thing shrank on me.

    I tested that!

I've had success in both work trucks and personal vehicles with sandpaper (800 grit, 1000 grit, 1500 grit and 2000 grit, in that order). Keep the lens wet while sanding. When headlight is clear again, coat with Meguiar's headlight coating. It contains correct UV coating specifically for plastic headlights.

For glass, I prefer the aerosol glass cleaner from Costco. Typically comes in a 4 pack.

On the windows I use a small amount of lemon joy in a bucket of water. Apply with a wet rag, remove with a mid size hand squeegee and dry around edges with a dry rag makes them crystal sparkling clean. Sun damaged light covers I've used rubbing compound with good results. I've also taken water mineral stains off of windows with rubbing compound with excellent results.
